Privacy-first weather

Saved places and settings stay on your device; location is used only to fetch a forecast.

No ads or sale

NexWeather ships no advertising or analytics SDKs and never sells your location.

You choose location

Search places by name, or grant location only when you want a local forecast.

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to the NexWeather Android app and the public NexWeather product pages operated by NextEra.One. It is written to explain how the app accesses, uses, stores and shares user data for Google Play review and for people using the app.

NexWeather does not require a NextEra.One account. If that changes, this policy will be updated before account features are released.

2. Data NexWeather accesses or stores on your device

NexWeather accesses data only for the features users would expect from this app.

Data type Purpose Where it is stored
Approximate or precise location Fetch a forecast for where you are, only when you use that feature. Read at the time of the request; not stored by NextEra.One.
Saved places Show forecasts for the places you add. Local app storage on your device.
App settings Remember units, language and theme. Local app storage on your device.

3. Data collected by NextEra.One

NextEra.One does not operate an account service, analytics backend, advertising backend or sync backend for NexWeather. NexWeather does not upload your saved places to NextEra.One.

The public website may receive ordinary web server request information from visitors, such as IP address, browser type and requested page, through the hosting provider used to publish these static pages. The app itself does not send your data to that website.

4. Data sharing and user-initiated transfers

NexWeather does not sell personal and sensitive user data. Data can leave your device in these user-initiated cases:

  • When you request a local forecast, your coordinates are sent to the weather data provider to return conditions.
  • If you install or open NexWeather through Google Play, Google processes Play Store data under Google's policies.

5. Permissions

NexWeather asks for Android permissions only when needed for its features.

  • Location: fetch a forecast for your current position, only when you use it
  • Internet: request forecast data from the weather service
  • Notifications: show weather alerts you opt into

6. Retention and deletion

  • Your saved places remain in NexWeather's local store until you delete them or clear everything.
  • Local settings remain on device until you change them or uninstall the app.
  • NextEra.One cannot recover deleted local data because it is not synced to a NextEra.One server.
  • You can also use Android Settings > Apps > NexWeather > Storage > Clear storage to remove local app data.

7. Security

NexWeather relies on Android runtime permissions, Android app sandboxing and local device storage. Because NexWeather does not run a cloud sync service, there is no NextEra.One server copy of your saved places. Anything you choose to share into other apps is governed by those providers' practices.

8. Children

NexWeather is not directed to children. It is a general-purpose tool intended for users who are allowed to manage their own content on their Android device.

9. Changes and contact

NextEra.One may update this policy when NexWeather changes how it handles data. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new effective date.
